
Despite cold and wet conditions, the boys did very well; achieving second place behind the St Peter’s A team.
Finn Matheson (Marsden, Year 10) also took the silver medal in the individual competition. Finn scored 550 points, only 33 points behind the winner of the tournament.
Teacher in charge of Archery, Barbara Law says that this performance is particularly exceptional, with King’s archers competing at a top regional level.
“The gold medal winners St Peter’s contain several nationally placed archers, so the boys did well to place second ahead of Auckland Grammar School and Baradene College.”
