King’s middle-distance squad, made up of 30 King’s students, competed at the Central and Eastern Zone Cross Country Championships this month, receiving five top three placings.

The event, which took place on Thursday 17 May, was for the top distance runners in region.

Receiving a winning time in the intermediate category was both James Robertson (Year 11, Greenbank) with first place and Sebastian Wharton (Year 11, Marsden) in third.

Also achieving top honours was George Cory-Wright (Year 13, School) who achieved first place in the senior category and Charlie Knox (Year 13, Greenbank) in third.

From the girls, Emelia Leggett (Year 13, Middlemore) came in third place.
