James’ outstanding time of 2.05.86 beat the 1989 record held by Old Collegian Jonno Roberts (Selwyn, 1988-1992).
This great result completes a clean sweep for the season, where Zane Powell (Year 9, Peart), Sebastian Wharton (Year 10, Marsden)and James Harding have broken all 12 middle-distance records in one season.
These students will shortly join seven other boys from the middle-distance squad to compete at the New Zealand Track and Road Championships to be held in Napier at the beginning of December.
