Run by the the New Zealand Association of French Teachers (NZAFT), Amay wrote an essay about "Les Intouchables". The judges were particularly impressed by the quality of Amay's writing.
Students who are currently studying French at Year 13 level in a New Zealand school, regardless of their age or year level, were invited to submit a piece of writing in French. In their writing, students were encouraged to express and justify their own ideas and opinions, and support or challenge those of others.
All entries were considered by a panel and alloted a grade. The best entries were then ranked, and the winners announced.
For his second placing, Amay has received a $100 Prezzy card.
Well done Amay - the King's community is very proud.
