The start of the 2015 First XV 1A competition got underway for King’s College with a win against newly promoted Aorere College on Saturday, 2 May.

King’s was able to get on top early with two converted tries in the first 15 minutes. They added another before half-time to lead 21-0 at the break.

The second half saw King's continue to dominate in all facets of play. Aorere threatened to cross the line at times but could never quite put it together for long enough to get over.

AJay Mua, who scored two tries, was Player of the Day. The first try was a short run from the back of the scrum and the second was a 70 metre run down the sideline to score.

The final score was 45-0.

Tries were scored by Liam Baker-Smith, Trent Tipene, Ciarahn Matoe, Sam Reid and two to AJay Mua.

Ciarahn Matoe converted each try and Sam Reid kicked one penalty.
