The King’s First XV had a tough loss on Saturday, 16 May against a determined St Peter's College side.

King’s opened the scoring early with a try to Awanuiarangi Morris and a conversion by Sam Reid. That was to be it though for the remainder of the half. St Peter's converted their own try and also took a well-kicked penalty to lead at the break 10-7.

King’s came out firing in the second half and the team was able to put another try on the board when AJay Mua crashed over. The try was converted and King’s led 14-10.

Relentless pressure from St Peter's, coupled with ill-discipline and poor tackling from King's, saw St Peter's score out wide in overtime. The final score was 14-15 to St Peter's.
