The opening night of this year’s much anticipated production of ‘Grease’ is approaching at lightning speed!

The costumes have been fitted and pressed, the set has received the final touches and now the last special cast member is ready for her role.

Earlier in the year King’s auditioned a sweet wee 1955 Austin from New Plymouth, with visions of turning her into the star attraction of the show. She was shipped up and, with the help of technology teacher Gary Burton and his friends at Roache Motors in Otahuhu, she’s had an impressive makeover.

Head of Cultural Studies, Nikki Bentley says the little car is sure to be a crowd pleaser. “She’ll be sharing the limelight with an absolutely incredible cast.  They’ve worked so hard and they can’t wait to perform”.
