Four Col Mike King 1000X1000

Comedian Mike King.

Throughout the week, the College has been host to events and key speakers, as part Student Health Week run by our Student Health Council. Each day of the week is dedicated to promoting a different area of health, such as physical and nutritional health. This year’s Student Health Week will conclude with a presentation by guest speaker and comedian Mike King on Friday 16 June.

Head Nurse Sarah Hardy says the events held this week have been a great opportunity for students to promote the importance of health throughout the college and to experience the many dimensions of health.

“It’s great to have Mike King talk to the students at the end of the week and I am sure it will be beneficial to the many students who will attend.”

The Student Health Council is a new student-led initiative aimed at providing a voice for students. They hope that the Student Health Week will continue on an annual basis at the College. Other events during the week include a student panel on spirituality and My Kitchen Rules style cook-off. Click here for a full timetable of events.

The presentation by guest speaker and comedian Mike King on Friday will take place at 12.40pm in the College Chapel. All students are welcome to attend.
