Swimming Waterworld in Hamilton recently hosted the Secondary School Swimming Championships from the 15 – 13 September, featuring three King’s students who competed against 580 other competitors.

The College finished 19th overall in the male division and 33rd in the female division.

Fergus Eadie (Year 11, School), Josh Nichol (Year 11, St John) and Annabelle McLaren (Year 11, Taylor) all performed exceptionally well against some of the best secondary school swimmers in New Zealand.

Annabelle competed in the 15-year-old Girls division, earning places in the top 6 for 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 200m individual medley, 100m butterfly and 400m freestyle.

Josh also raced well in his 15-year-old Boys division, finishing in the top 5 for each of his races with an impressive third place in the 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley.
