Tuesday 14 June 2016

From Wednesday, 8 June to Saturday, 11 June King's College competed in the Auckland Regional round of the National Chamber Music Contest at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre.

We had students represented in seven groups out of the 98 that competed in the Auckland round. Four were exclusively King’s College groups, and three were in mixed ensembles with students from other schools.

All students performed well and received positive feedback from the two adjudicators, Kenneth Young and Catherine McKay.

In addition, Daniel Ai’s group Clara was successful in making it through to the semi-finals and then the finals (top eight groups).

Well done to all the students who particiapted in this contest.
