King’s College hosted representatives from MIT, UNITEC and all of New Zealand’s eight universities at a Tertiary Study Evening at the College on Monday 29 May. Recruitment representatives delivered presentations, grouped to reflect the themes of their flagship programmes.

The Tertiary Study Evening, one of the biggest events of the College year for the Careers Centre, saw a large turnout of senior Year 12 and Year 13 students and their parents.

Careers advisor Wendy Carey notes that students were impressed with how helpful it was to meet the university student liaison staff.

“The evening was an opportunity to get excited about the great range and detail of study options, as well as flexible degree combinations.”

Follow-up, course planning and enrolment help sessions will be held at the College for Year 13 students in Term 3.
