Cameo spent 11 weeks on the project with the charity Koru Care as the beneficiary. Cameo’s award was for the most fundraising and she also set a record in the history of Miss Auckland Pageant in fundraising. This was an immense commitment and has been deeply appreciated by the children of Koru Care.
Koru Care works to make dreams come true for children who have drawn a short straw in life. In some cases they have cancer, kidney disease or heart problems, in other cases they have lost the use of their limbs or have serious congenital abnormalities. But they still have the capacity to smile, laugh and create good memories; they just need someone to wave the magic wand. This time around it was Cameo.
Cameo was also placed Second Runner Up overall. Congratulations Cameo!
