With over 1,000 Old Collegians serving in the World Wars, the ANZAC Day Service gave our community the opportunity to come together to honour those students and staff who fought and gave their lives.
Guests received an informative address from Old Collegian Major Keith Miller (Selwyn, 1986-89), who has had a distinguished military career serving operational tours around the world including Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Decorated by the Americans with the Bronze Star, Keith was a member of the last British battalion to serve in Hong Kong and also in Germany on the staff of the NATO Headquarters.
Keith retired from the British Army in late 2013 and now works for the ICT Service Centre for the New Zealand Police as Head of Technology Operations in Wellington.

Following Keith's address, the Roll of Honour was read by Headmaster Michael Leach and King's College Old Collegians' President Terry Gould.
The Memorial Chapel was filled with members from the King's community including Old Collegians, current students, current parents and staff.
Following the Service, a morning tea was held in the Student Dining Hall.
