Our Chapel Close was a buzz of excitement on Wednesday 21 February, with more than 400 people gathering for The Friends’ first event of the year, the annual Headmaster’s Garden Party.

The Headmaster’s Garden Party, one of the most anticipated events in our College’s calendar, is the perfect setting for our King's community to make new friends and meet our staff members.

Headmaster Simon Lamb addressed the audience with a welcome to the new and old King’s community members, as well as introducing our 2018 Student Leaders.

This event was also an opportunity for The Friends’ to present a generous donation of $268,000 to the College, a result of their fundraising initiatives in 2017.

Established in 1955, The Friends’ of King’s College is a volunteer organisation that assists the College.

Put simply by the President of the Friends’, Liz Barnett, “It’s about having fun, making friends and raising money to benefit our children,” she says. “It’s as simple as that!”
