The 9th Annual Information Science Technology Challenge (ISTC) was held in Dunedin Monday, 29 June, and in Auckland on Wednesday, 1 July, with teams of year 12 and 13 students from local high schools competing.

A one day event for Year 12 & 13 students where teams representing their schools are presented with several new and exciting technologies / research ideas and then challenged to think of a problem and develop an innovative business idea around the use of these technologies.

At the end of the day teams give a three minute presentation of their innovative idea to a panel of judges from both industry and academia.

The King’s College team, led by Andrew Song, won the prize for Best Presentation. Congratulations!
