Scholarship applications for entry in 2020 have now closed.

All scholarship and bursary applications must be accompanied by a complete online admissions application form and a full student CV for admission into King's College.

  • Middlemore Bursary

    The Middlemore Bursary is for a girl boarder entering the College at any year level. The Middlemore Bursary provides $5000.00 towards fees.

  • Music scholarships and bursaries

    There will be two music scholarships available in 2020. Each will provide $5000.00 towards fees. The Head of Performing Arts will audition candidates for these awards and they winners will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in at least two instruments and to perform to at least Grade 7 level in their principal instrument. Successful candidates will be expected to take a significant role in performance music at the College. The level of assistance is according to demonstrated need.

  • Sports Scholarships

    Sports Scholarships are available for students with exceptional sporting ability. These may be awarded to students entering at any level. There will be three scholarships available in 2020. Each will provide $5000.00 towards tuition fees.

  • James Webster Memorial Scholarship

    THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE IN 2020.

    This scholarship has been set up by King’s College in conjunction with the Webster family in memory of the late James Webster who was a student of the College. It is intended that the fund will increase over time to endow a scholarship to enable a boy or girl who would otherwise not be able to attend King’s College, to enter the College from outside Auckland as a boarder. Preference will be given to a student who could contribute to the Chapel Choir and/or community service programmes.

  • Phil Ryall Bursary

    This bursary is awarded to an applicant from rural New Zealand, preferably from a part of the country which does not have easy access to secondary schooling.

  • Bradley Fenner Scholarship

    The Bradley Fenner Scholarship was established in honour of one of our past Headmasters (2009–14) with the broad purpose of supporting students who would not otherwise be able to attend King’s College as boarders. Preference is given to a student who demonstrates leadership potential and is from outside Auckland.

Once awarded, all scholarships and bursaries are subject to annual review and may be withdrawn where performance is unsatisfactory. Some scholarships may not be available in certain years.
