Medical Centre

The Medical Centre is located  between School House and Greenbank House, offering a 24-hour, 7-day service for boarding students and the care of day students during school hours. A doctor visits each morning before school, Monday to Friday, for our boarding students and is on call to us by telephone at all other times. We are fortunate to have the Mangere Family Doctors Medical Centre and Middlemore Hospital virtually on our doorstep if a student requires medical assessment during the school day or at night. The team of fully qualified and dedicated health care professionals ensure that King’s students are in good hands.

The Medical team includes:

- Dr Michael Wilson  MBChB (Otago), Dip.obs, DPH, FRNZCGP, FRACGP.

- Dr Monica Nua BHB, MBChB, Dip Paeds, MRNZCGP

- Nurse Manager Bridget Caulton, NZRGON

- Night Nurse Janine Macnaughtan

- Weekend Nurse Jo Harris

- Relief Nurses Delwyne Roberts and Louise Warren.

The Medical Centre also provides an onsite Physiotherapy Service, which can be accessed by all students. Day students must have the appropriate ACC paperwork or if it is not ACC then the student must have permission from a parent or guardian. There is now a $10 surcharge for each treatment under ACC. This will be charged to your account.

We also have a visiting Podiatrist if students require treatment.
