Sports Codes

King's College make a wide variety of sports available to students including the traditional major codes such as rugby, soccer, cricket, tennis, hockey, tennis etc . But there are also a number of other sports such as clay target shooting, golf, equestrian and sailing to name just a few, which ensure that all students will find a sport that suits them.

It is compulsory for students from Year 9 to 11 to participate in a sporting activity and senior students are also encouraged to play at least one sport per year.

In 2007, 91% of the student body played one or more sports for the College and this includes the following teams:
14 - cricket
32 - Tennis
15 - Rugby
10 - Soccer
9 - Hockey
6 - Netball

This year we had 56 winter teams and 61 summer teams turning out on a weekly basis to play for the College.
