Glee Club

The Glee Club completed a highly successful production of  ‘The Sound of Music’ at the end of Term 1, 2009. Congratulations must go to Director of Music Stuart Sherwood and Theatrical Director/ Choreographer Peter Kemble. The Directors had a cast, crew and orchestra of over 100 students who gave three very successful  performances of this well known musical. A hallmark of this production was the inclusion of the Massey sisters as the youngest members of the Von Trapp family. They followed the hardworking leads Sean Hewetson and Libby McMiken  very closely making the family seem even more realistic. The rest of the cast also did a fine job of portraying for us of the Austrian Von Trapp family’s brush with Nazi Germany in 1938.

Guys and Dolls

The production in 2010 is ‘Guys & Dolls’, set in Brooklyn New York in the 1950s. With a wide-ranging cast from hot-box dancers to gamblers and missionaries, the cast promises to bring its usual pizzazz and panache to the production.
Directed by Peter Kemble and Stuart Sherwood.
