On Wednesday, Kings College students and staff gathered together in the Great Hall for a special service to remember and pray for the people of Christchurch, in the wake of the region’s devastating earthquake. Led in prayer by Reverend Warner Wilder, Senior Sacristans lit a candle in remembrance of all those who have lost loved ones, the injured and for those who still wait for news of family and friends. We continue to prayer for all those affected, for our leaders especially Prime Minister John Key and Mayor Bob Parker and all those involved in search and rescue and medical staff treating the injured. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the staff and students of all Christchurch schools, including the Anglican family of church schools there.
