King's Student Wins Australasian Business Competition
Each year, Business Studies teachers at King’s complete a unit of work with their Year 10 classes on ‘How to prepare a Business Plan’. Students are required to prepare a Business Plan for a fictitious product that they ‘invent’. As part of this unit the students’ Business Pans are entered into an Australasian competition open to all High school students. There are three Divisions to this competition.
We have just received some good news from the competition organisers.
The College has just been advised that from the hundreds of entries received, The New Zealand Division One (open to any student individually) was won this year by Ben Nathan (Year 10, Peart). He has won a trip to Canberra including accommodation and an as yet undisclosed amount of prize money. There he will have the opportunity of presenting his BusinessPllan to a panel of judges. If his plan and presentation beat winners from the Australian states he will get more prize money and another trip to Shanghai. His win is particularly impressive considering he was competing with entries from students up to Year 13.
