Voyager Camp for 2009
The Voyager Camp of 2009 was so very successful and enjoyable. With over 80 students attending, fun was shared by all. With the assistance of several ex-King's College pupils, the staff members of the camp were able to ensure an action-packed week-end. Things kicked off on the last Thursday of Term Three, with a two-hour road trip to Finlay Park Camp, Cambridge. After dinner and a Chapel service, the students had an early night to prepare for the following day of camp activities.

This year’s Voyager camp was once again one of the largest we have had in recent years. Because of this, the group was split into two, to help make the rotation of activities easier. Activities included tramping, mountain-bikng, caving, rock-climbing and kayaking. But undoubtedly the highlight was white-water rafting where a raft of six students were taken over crashing water-falls and through swirling rapids.

Free time was available for students to spend quality time together in a refreshing and relaxing environment, enabling everyone to recuperate after a busy and fun-packed day. The Chapel services were always an enlightening experience with hymns, songs, instruments and prayer echoing throughout the grounds of the camp. The worship song, "Blessed be Your Name" was voted the unofficial theme song for Voyager Camp 2009.

A huge thanks to Reverend Warner Wilder, Reverend Gareth Walters, ex-students and the good people of Adventure Specialties for organizing and leading a superb Voyager Camp.
