Music Scholar Wins Eight First Prizes
Arnold Lee (Music Scholar, Year 9 Marsden) has done incredibly well winning eight First Prizes in competition sections spread across three prominent music competitions: West Auckland, Tauranga and South Auckland.

Alongside the eight first prizes, Arnold won four second prizes, two third prizes and a highly commended. He also picked up praise from Melissa Lee MP, who from Parliament wrote to applaud his "dedication to his art and his obvious talent".

The most notable success could possibly be the Tauranga Anne Stevens Cup where he gained First Prize for 20th century playing open to 13- 18 year olds, despite Arnold being only in Year 9. While the awards were on Piano, Arnold also plays in the College Orchestra and has his own Harp Trio where he plays Viola.
