King's Competes at Athletics Championships

In the last weekend of March, a number of King’s students took part in the North Island Secondary Schools Athletics Championships.

Well done to all of those students who took part, but special mention to the following:

•    Liam Baker-Smith who won the Senior Javelin with a throw of 48.39m.
•    Harry Crawford who won his Shot and Discus events and came 4th in the Hammer, achieving personal best throws in all three events.
•    Judda Turahui who was a member of the winning 4x 100m Junior Relay team from Auckland.
•    AJay Mua who came 2nd in the Senior Shot Put.
•    Alana Sherman who came 2nd in the 3000m.
•    Jamie Spowart who came 2nd in the 4x 400m and third in the 4x 100m relay.
