    Top rowers to compete at Junior World Championships

    Year 13 students Daniel Williamson (Averill) and James Hall (St John’s) have been selected to represent New Zealand at the Junior World Championships. The competition will be held later this year in August and will see our young men travelling to Lithuania.

    Our students travelled to Inglewood on Saturday 8 April for the North Island Secondary School Athletic Championships, and achieved some outstanding results.

    Top shots at Auckland Regionals

    This year King’s had three teams compete in the Auckland Regional Archery Tournament held on Sunday 9 April. The tournament, held at the Auckland Archery Club, is run annually and is open to all schools in the Auckland region.

    Cyclone Cook - College closure at 10am today

    The College has decided to close early today at 10am as opposed to 12.30pm. Our End of Term Assembly has been cancelled and we are advising students to leave the College as early as possible. Due to the late notice, we understand that parents and guardians may be unable to make it to the College early. We will ensure our students are safe in their Houses until their parents are able to collect them.

    King’s College is delighted to announce today the appointment of Mr Paul Watts to the role of Housemaster of Te Pūtake Lodge, the College’s dedicated Boarding House for Year 9 students.

    Remembering Sir Douglas Myers

    King’s College acknowledges the sad passing yesterday of Old Collegian Sir Douglas Myers KNZM CBE (School, 1952-56). Sir Douglas was an outstanding, loyal Old Collegian and former parent who not only generously supported the College and the Foundation, but who also gave of his time to mentor many fellow Old Collegians in their professional lives.

    Bowl of Heaven, a Young Enterprise Scheme business founded by a group of Year 13 King’s students, were on campus on Thursday 6 April delivering organic, gluten and dairy-free smoothie bowls.

    Sailors battle for medal at Auckland Cup

    Our King’s sailing team competed in the Auckland Teams Racing Cup on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 March, gaining bronze in what was a close battle amongst the top four teams.
