Spiritual Life

Under the leadership of our Chaplain, Rev Warren Watson, the Chaplaincy team provides a flourishing ministry that provides opportunity for students to be involved in worship, pastoral care, class-based learning and community service.

    Community Service

Each year, an average of five hundred students at the College engage in all sorts of community service. Each week, students volunteer their own time to help those in the community who really need it. And this coming year, the opportunities continue.

  3. Voyager

While King's College provides a full programme of Religious Studies from Year 9 through to Year 11, the Voyager programme offers a 'purely voluntary' opportunity for students to engage with the bigger questions of life in a smaller, more relaxed atmosphere.

  4. Chapel Choir

The Chapel Choir is a happy social group that works hard and shows great dedication to this great part of King's College Music. Opportunities for leadership roles within the Choir, such as Head Chorister and Choir Manager, are available each year, usually to a senior student.

  5. Sacristans

One of the key student leadership roles here at King's College, is the role of Sacristan. Students become eligible to fulfill this Chapel prefect role, in their final year.

  6. Homilies

Part of Chapel worship provides the opportunity to listen to a homily. A homily is a short talk that usually picks up a theme or passage from the Scriptures and explores ways in which it can connect to our lives. Our talks are designed to be uplifting and relevant to young people, and we enjoy injecting creativity and media illustrations that relate to our themes.
