Candidates for this award will be auditioned by the Head of Music and will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in at least two instruments and to perform to at least Grade 7 level in their principal instrument. The Music Scholarship covers up to 50% of tuition fees for two years. Successful candidates will be expected to take an active and willing part in performance music at the College.

Sir James Wallace Choral Scholarship
Candidates for this award will be auditioned by the Head of Music and should have potential as a singer after leaving school. The Scholarship covers 50% tuition fees for up to two years. Winners will be committed to supporting the King's College Choir and Men's Chamber Choir, to furthering their vocal ability through regular tuition and willing to participate in the wider cultural life of the school, e.g. Glee Club etc.

KCOCA Chapel Music Scholarship
Candidates for this award will be auditioned by the Head of Music. This scholarship is awarded to a Year 12 student who is an outstanding musician and who will make a significant contribution to the life of the Chapel. The Chapel Music Scholarship covers up to 50% of tuition fees for two years.

Sports Scholarships are available for students with exceptional all-round ability. These may be awarded to students entering at any level. The contribution to fees through these scholarships depends on the funds available.

KCOCA Gibbons Award
The KCOCA Gibbons Award is for a student entering the College in Year 12 with strong all-round ability and at least one outstanding attribute. This award contributes up to $7,500 per annum towards the College's tuition fees for two years.

Mark and Angela Clatworthy Scholarship
The Mark and Angela Clatworthy Scholarship provides support for Boarding to an outstanding student. Preference will be given to someone of Pacific Island or Maori descent and who would not be able to attend King’s College without such financial assistance.
