Admission Process

King's College welcomes applications throughout the school year from boys and girls at all levels.

The two major entry points to the College are at Year 9 (Form Three) for boys, and Year 11 (Form Five) for girls. However, we have a number of students who apply for places at other points.

The enrolment procedure commences when an Application for Admission is completed and forwarded to the College's Head of Admissions. In considering admissions, King's College seeks to have a roll that reflects the broader population of New Zealand.

All applicants are invited to attend an interview. This interview focuses on the all-round ability and interests of each candidate. It is an integral part of the admissions process and no exceptions are made to this procedure. At the time of the interview each applicant will also be given a tour of the College and its facilities.

Guided tours of the College are available to all prospective students and can be arranged by contacting the Head of Admissions. Campus Tours are held each term and upcoming dates can be found here.

The main entry point to the College is at Year 9 level and places above Year 9 are subject to space becoming available.

There are a limited number of places available for Day and Boarding students at Year 10 and above.
